disturb this rural idyll. You know the drill: cheap but
basic camping on the airfield on Saturday night followed by a
Sunday road run to a place of interest and a pub
lunch.

12th October
VMCC Cyclemotor Section 100 Mile Run
from The Plough, Marsh Gibbon,
Buckinghamshire.
![]()
Meet from 8:30am. Another
old-established event in the cyclemotor calendar, the 100-mile
run consists of three circuits of a 33-1/3 mile circuit, thus
allowing refuelling stops (for both rider and machine) at
The Plough. It also means that
riders who do not want to do the full distance can complete fewer
circuits. It is not unknown for some of the more anarchic
cyclemotorists <waves to Tim> to ride some laps in the
reverse direction.
Details from Ian Young on 01865 514308.

Many events listed in this calendar are "closed to club members". The EACC offers free day membership to visiting riders at all its rides. The NACC, British Two-Stroke Club and the VMCC Cyclemotor Section also offer day membership at selected events, for which there is usually a charge. The golden rule is: if you want to take part in an event listed here and you do not belong to the organising club, always contact the event organiser to see if you are permitted to take part.
Generally, riders of veteran and low powered machines are also welcome at these events. Contact the event organiser for details.
Please call at a reasonable hour when telephoning for details of events (not forgetting the time difference if you're 'phoning another country).

On Sunday September 7th the fifth EACC Coprolite Run & Mopedjumble starts from Bucklesham Village Hall, featuring full reception facilities and free refreshments on arrival. A fully marked and classic local course to Felixstowe Ferry, and foil twin to the Radar Run. Riders who completed the Bawdsey Point section of The Radar Run might be interested in the contrast of the opposite view back across the Deben estuary. A fabulous riders' course on both legs, especially as the route bursts out onto the Golf Links road for a traditional sprint to the Victoria lunch stop. Drink fine ales to the panorama of coastal boats on the estuary, stunning views, big skies, Martello towers, explore the Ferry boatyard, and a popular jumble as well. Why is it called the Coprolite Run? The explanation is on the course notes. The Route Sheet and Map for this run are available on our downloads page. Please contact us if you'd like us to set you a spot in the hall or the car park (e-mail or telephone John Daborn on 01473 658892). The jumble opens at 9:30am, the run sets off at 11:00am, the jumble re-opens at 2:00pm when the run returns.
The EACC will be having a stand at Copdock Show on 5th October. Work has already started on getting the stand together. IceniCAM is sponsoring the stand and edition 7 of Iceni CAM Magazine will be on sale there. One feature of the stand will be sveral of the machines that have appeared in the articles in Iceni CAM Magazine over the last tweve months. If you've never been to the show before - or haven't been for a long while - then the important thing to remember is that it's nowhere near Copdock. It outgreww that site several years ago and is now held at Trinity Park (the Suffolk Showground) on the eastern outskirts of Ipswich. For more information about the show, visit the Copdock Classic Motorcycle Club website at www.copdock-cmc.co.uk.
